What league do the Pee-Wee Elks compete in?
The Elks compete in the Brazos Valley Football Association League

What are the ages/divisions for the football players?
The league is divided into 3 divisions: Bantam (1st and 2nd graders), Minor (3rd and 4th graders) , and Major (5th and 6th graders). All divisions are tackle football. Burleson also offers flag football for Pre-K and Kindergarten aged children. Flag football participants

will compete with other towns within the Brazos Valley league, but games will be close to home.

Is there a weight limit?
In order to carry the ball, players must be less than 75lbs (Bantam), 95lbs (Minor), 115lbs (Major). Players above the weight limit can play any position on defense and but are restricted from playing a position on offense where they carry the ball.

What towns do we play against?
Burleson is centrally located in the Brazos Valley league towns, so travel is minimal.  Currently there are 12 towns in the league that include: Aledo, Alvarado, Brock, Burleson, Cleburne, Crowley, Granbury, Joshua, Kennedale, Midlothian, Weatherford, and Whitney.

Where do we play our games?

Our home field is near Old Town Burleson behind the Lighthouse Church. We typically play about half of our games at home and half away. Games are on Saturdays. Map to field

How many games are there?
There are a minimum of 9 games.  If a team makes the playoffs, there can be as many as 12 games. Playoff teams have the opportunity to make it all the way to the Brazos Valley Super Bowl!

How often is practice and where do they take place?

Teams typically practice 3 times a week.  Bantam and Minor teams practice at Kerr Middle School, while the Major teams practice at Norwood Elementary School.

What equipment is needed?
All players need to be equipped with a helmet, shoulder - pads, practice pants/pads, mouth-piece, cleats and practice jersey. Players are only provided with a game uniform consisting of a jersey and game pants which are included in registration fees. All necessary equipment can be purchased at registration time through a vendor or can be purchased at a sporting goods store. Flag football participants do not require equiptment, but cleats are encouraged.
