2012 Board Positions Available

It is time again for the Burleson Boys and Girls Club sets sights on the coming year.  In preparation for the year, the Board of Directors is being assembled at this time.   Should you have an interest in any of the following positions, please use this email address to send a letter with the position of interest and your qualifications for the position.  Also include any  information that will help us to understand why you would be a good fit for our organization. Emails will be accepted until January 31st.  You will be contacted by a board member.  Thanks in advance for considering volunteering and helping to make a difference in our organization. The following board positions are available:

 

Football Director
Is responsible to coordinate all tasks needed for football. Shall conduct sign-ups, uniform orders and disbursement,  determine practice location,  convey rules to coaches, enforcing rules voted on by BBGC board, electing coaches, and communicate all problems with the BBGC President or VP. Holds one vote.

Cheerleading Director
Is responsible to coordinate all tasks needed for cheerleading. Shall conduct sign-ups, uniform orders and disbursement, practice location, rules to coaches, enforcing rules voted on by BBGC board, electing coaches, and communicate all problems with the President or VP. Holds one vote.

Town Representative
Is the direct communications between BBGC and BVFA. Shall report all changes from BVFA and shall direct all questions BBGC has to BVFA. He is to assist BVFA in making of schedule and is responsible to coordinate with Football Director on time and location.
Shall give final approval by signature for all formal complaint and protest of any game or BVFA rules violation. Holds one vote.

Field Maintenance
Is to maintain the BBGC field.  This includes routine maintenance of mowing the grass, fertilizing, exterminating, striping the field and perform any repairs.  Any special project outside of regular routine maintenance will require approval from the BBGC board of directors prior to executing the special project. Holds one vote.

Concessions/Gate Manager 

Is responsible for managing the concession stand and the gate during game days.  Must purchase items for  and stock concession stand to be prepared for field events.  Shall ensure that concession stand and gate have employees or volunteers to cover all hours of field operation. Must ensure that concession stand meets health department codes for operation.  Holds one vote.
