The Boys and Girls Club Minor 2 team had quite a year. Losing only once during the year, being knocked off early by Whitney, the team rattled off 8 consecutive victories to reach the Brazos Valley Football League Superbowl. Coach Bobby Martin's Minor 2 team took out Joshua in round 1 of the playoffs with a lopsided 50-0 score. In round 2, a tough Alvarado team was bested by a score of 22-12. In the Championship game, the Burleson boys played tough defense to notch their second shutout in 3 games and a berth in the Minor Division Superbowl by defeating Midlothian 1 12-0.

The Minor Superbowl was a defensive battle all the way. Burleson scored early to take a 6-0 lead and then hung on to that lead for the next 3 quarters. Shutting out the high-powered Crowley offense was something that no other team had been able to accomplish during the year. This was a heartbreaker for Crowley who would lose in the Superbowl with a 6-0 score for the second consecutive year. The victory would give the Burleson2 team a 12-1 record on the year.
