Burleson Minor 7on7. Head Coach Andy Barrett

Burleson's 7on7 season began with a last second defeat in the pre-season tournament. It would end with a victory in the Brazos Valley 7on7 Championship Tournament. The minor division, consisting of 2nd and 3rd graders, was highly contested this year. Defending champs Crowley were back to defend their title as well as a tough team out of Grandview to make things interesting. Pre-season champs Grandview were unbeaten until the last week of the season when they had to go up against Burleson.

With a #1 seed in the Championship Tournament at stake, both teams were faced with a must win game! With the victory, Burleson entered the tournament seeded #1 which matched them up with Midlothian after a first round bye. The Burleson squad did as expected and beat Midlothian handily. An overtime victory over Grandview gave Crowley the other spot in the championship game. It was all Burleson from beginnning to end. This talented group allowed no touchdowns in either tournament game while scoring 76 points! This team will now strap on some pads and get ready for tackle football season.
